Hi!

I just picked up a "Bally" and all of the stuff that goes with it from Bill Kopp,
which, of course included all the past issues of the 'Arcadian'. He went out
and got himself an Apple; therefore I doubt if he will be renewing his subscr¬
iption.

I do want to get on your list for the volume 2, and am enclosing my check for
same.

I should also like to add my name to those who answered your questionare re¬
garding the add on to the Bally'. I would put mysglf in the catagory which
indicated they would be infeerrested in ad£ifc£t5fTal capapablities for a price
range of about $300.00.

Incidentally, has anyone indicated trouble with their unit overheating? I
had mine go bad just about a month after I had it, Bill of course had it for some
four months so the initial warranty ran out, I was a little reluctant to get
into it myself, although I had determined the trouble was the diode bridge
which 'smoked'; anyway the agent here is 'Teledyne' they replaced the whole
board, cost was $35.. However, my point was that this unit seems to get just
a little warm just to the left of the keypad and to forstall such happening
in the future I intend do drill a few holes there which should let a little
air circulate. There are a couple of heat sikks just there and I think a little
air wouldn't hurt.

Just before the jnit smoked out, it would stop functioning in the middle of
a programe,no reaction to keypad and the screed would display wetadd pattern
'game over' etc and sometimes what lookes like a picture of a 'chip'. Just pa-
ssig this on Jor what it may be worth.

Looking forward to volumn 2, I am,

Sincerely,
